Public Meditation

So I’ve been trying to do the little meme thing every morning to try to get a reading on how I’m feeling on a given day and where my thoughts are, where I need to be focusing my intentions and such.  Today?  Not working.  I’m apparently all over the place, but I answered honestly which is supposed to be part of the point.  I figure I’ll let you guys figure it out and tell me what I need to be doing with myself.
• I AM: really tired, and really busy, but really feeling like I’m not doing enough.
• I WANT: 3 months worth of old-school summer vacation, complete with lawn sprinklers and swimming in the lake and cold cokes and great big pickles.
• I HAVE: a to-do list the size of Texas, and a messy sewing room.
• I WISH: that everybody would just relax… it’s really not that bad, kids.
• I HATE: Nothing and nobody, but I strongly dislike my self-image.  How’s that for confusing language?
• I HEAR: Gin Blossoms Greatest Hits from my speakers, and a coworker counting aloud in the other room.
• I SEARCH: For enlightenment and product that will give me really great hair.
• I WONDER: When I’m gonna find my groove.
• I REGRET: I don’t. Anything worth regretting is worth chalking up as a lesson.
• I LOVE: Good books on the back porch, my amazing friends, the mint that’s growing free-range off my back steps.
• I MISS: my mom, John Dell, Beth, Socrates.
• I ALWAYS: second-guess whether or not I’m being stupid.
• I AM NOT: a doormat. I’m just terribly accommodating.
• I DANCE: Not nearly often enough.  Let’s fix that!
• I SING: in my car, in my shower, to my cat.
• I CRY: not so much these days.
• I WIN: not so much these days.
• I MISPLACE: EVERYTHING.  I lost my phone while talking on it, ya’ll.  I was TALKING…on the phone… and then the phone was gone.  And when I found it?  The conversation was still happening.
• I NEED: A hammock and a mojito.
• I WOULD: probably.  You just have to ask in the right way.
• I SHOULD: give a damn… but I really can’t be bothered to.

So, brains, what do I need?  A nap?  A hug?  A boot to the ass?  Perhaps an ice cream float and a new bra?  I’m now taking suggestions.

    Hey I think you need:

    Frozen bananas, a bigger hammock, jello pudding pops, more free time and some sweet music. Cold water, hot friends and for sure more dancing!

    I vote for the new lingerie and ice cream. And then you could lay on the sofa in your new lacies with the ice cream and watch Good Hair. That’ll take care of the enlightenment/product search. Bayam! 4 down, 37 to go? :)
