Evil Sara married her ex husband in April of 2001. While the wedding was particularly lovely, the bridesmaids (with the exception of Yvonne, the always gracious Maid of Honor) drove everybody involved batshit crazy.
After the newlyweds were sent on their way, Yvonne, myself, my then-fiancee-now-ex-husband, and two of the groomsmen, Alan and David, retired to my apartment for drinking. And drinking. And drinking (you just don’t understand how bad these bridesmaids were!). After the liquor was exterminated and we discovered we only had cheap american beer, Yvonne discovered that the beer didn’t taste so nasty if consumed through a straw… and then a few hours later, it was discovered that there was no website to testify to this fact. beerwithastraw.com was born.
Six years later, there isn’t so much beer info here (that got boring), but the name stays the same. All participants still strongly advocate straw use when consuming beer.
